The Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta together with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) has reviewed the implementation of the Large-Scale Social Distancing (PSBB) in the capital city after receiving the Minister of Health's Decree, on Tuesday (7/4). After holding a PSBB coordination and review meeting, Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan said that the PSBB would be implemented effectively starting Friday, 10 April.
"We have coordinated with Indonesian National Police (POLRI) - Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and DKI Jakarta Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19. This restriction is effective on Friday, 10 April. Primarily on the enforcement component because binding regulations will be drawn up. Our obedience to restrict movement or interaction will control this virus," Anies said in a press conference at the Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday (7/4).
PSBB in Jakarta will be valid for 14 days and can be extended as needed. The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta together with POLRI and TNI will take firm action if people does not obey the policies that have been enacted.
"At the time of the PSBB there’s not allowed a crowd of more than 5 people throughout Jakarta. If there are more than 5 people, there will be an act of control. Patrol activities will be increased. It is important for all to obey this regulation," said Anies.
Even so, The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta provides exception for a number of sectors that will continue to run during PSBB period, including:
1. Government sector, such as The Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, POLRI, and TNI, so that public services will continue to operate. However, in practice there will be restrictions on the number of employees.

c. Energy (water, gas, electricity and gas stations)
d. Communication (communication services to media)
e. Finance and banking, including the capital market

Apart from these eight sectors, it is recommended to work from home. However, in its implementation, all sectors that continue to operate are required to implement physical distancing and implement COVID-19 procedures, which require the use of mask, and provide easy hand washing facilities.
