This place can be your choice for family recreation in this holiday season. Planetarium Jakarta is a sky and space simulation place located at Taman Ismail Marzuki Jakarta. This can be an educative recreation by watching a movie screening and modeling simulation about astronomy and sky objects at Teater Bintang.
Each day, there are 5 movie screenings but the first four shows are just for group visits. If you want to visit Teater Bintang, you can watch it on 04.30 pm every Monday to Friday. Meanwhile on Saturday and Sunday, Teater Bintang is open for public. The public admission ticket is priced Rp7.000,- for adult and Rp3.500,- for children.
Visitors must enter the theatre 30 minutes before the movie started. This building can hold up to 300 people. There is a projector that projects the movie up to the building’s dome, so you will really feel like looking up to the sky. The chair’s position can also be adjusted until you can lie down and facing up while watching the movie.
The movie is about the solar system and the stars in the sky. Besides Teater Bintang, Planetarium also has observation facility which usually used for an event to see nature phenomenon such as eclipse, comet, to planetary conjunctions. Interesting, right?
