During this time maybe what we know are only sweetened tea and teh tawar as the popular tea drinks in Indonesia. Finding a proper tea shop in Jakarta is also not an easy task. There are only a handful of tea shops offering good quality teas and special blends. Curious?
1. Lewis & Caroll
Lewis & Carroll is a modern Indonesian tea house. Here, tea lovers can find around 80 varieties of tea. The tea house is known for showcasing loose-leaf tea in tubes, allowing customers to sense and smell prior to choosing their drink.
The place divided the drinks into three categories, Signature, Heritage and Legacy. Signature is priced at Rp 40,000 and features common flavors, such as fruit teas. Heritage offers premium tea, such as white tea. Meanwhile, Legacy features rare teas, such as pu-erh (Chinese fermented tea). Because of its rarity, the tea is priced based on the market rate.
