Sleeping is one of human’s daily needs that we do every night. Because sleeping has benefits to make our body back to relax, some things will happen if we lack of sleep. What are those? Read this article!

1. Having a Difficulty on Focusing
When you lack of sleep, your eyes will be troubled on identifying objects. You will feel confused when seeing an object. This happens because of the effect from the brain, so you will have a difficulty on concentrating and your ability on remembering and processing new information will decrease.

2. Trigger the Risk of Stroke
Normally, an adult is recommended to have 7-8 hours of sleep every day. Someone who sleeps under 6 hours a day will have 4,5 times more risk of stroke for themselves. According to a research, sleeping disorders can cause infection, increasing blood pressure, deregulation metabolism, to interfere someone’s cardiovascular health.

3. The Organ Cycle Will Be Disturbed
Did you know that our body has an organ cycle? When we are sleeping, our organs keep running according to its cycle. Well, if we lack of sleep, the organ cycle will also be disturbed. For example, if we haven’t slept until 1-3 am, the liver cycle which has a job to get rid of the toxins from our metabolism will be disturbed. Or on 11 pm to 1 am is the cycle for our heart. So if you stay up late until that hour you will weaken your heart function.

4. Headache
If you lack of sleep, your head will feel heavy until you feel dizzy or have a migraine. This happens because your body needs more rest. It is also possible for you to get sleep apnea, which is a respiratory disorder when sleeping.

5. High Hallucinations
When you lack of sleep, your eyes will also have an impaired. So you might see hallucinations such as double visions or strange “sightings”. The longer someone is awake, the easier to experience impaired vision.
