Tips for Safe Riding Public Transportation in the New Normal from BNPB

In the era of new normal, people are asked to obey health protocols when doing activities outside the home to prevent the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Including when using public transportation such as bus, taxibike, or train.
 
According to Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan COVID-19 team, public transportation is very vulnerable to being a place of transmission of the virus, if people don’t comply with applicable health protocols.
 
Through an Instagram account @bnpb_indonesia, Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB) shares tips for people who want to ride public transportation.

  1. Ensure you are healthy before doing activities outside the home.
  2. Always wear a mask and keep it clean.
  3. Try to wear long-sleeved clothes.
  4. Keep your distance from other people.
  5. Bring a personal helmet if you want to use a taxibike service.
  6. Do not talk or call someone while on public transportation.
  7. Do not touch your face area such as eyes, mouth, and nose.
  8. Use your inner elbow to covering your mouth if you want to cough or sneeze.
  9. Use cashless payment method.
