Last week, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated the Rorotan Sports Center (GOR) in North Jakarta. He hopes this sports center can produce outstanding children. "And second, people can also use indoor multipurpose facilities for many activities," Anies said, quoted by republika.co.id. The number one person in Jakarta also hopes that GOR is not just a place to exercise but also to build citizen interaction.
The construction of the Rorotan Sports Center itself uses the utilization of PT Putera Gaya Wahana's Building Floor Coefficient (KLB) exceeding budget of Rp 34 billion. The GOR, which was built for eight months, from November 2018 to July 2019, stands on an area of 2.2 hectares owned by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Anies said, GOR Rorotan has facilities with world class level. Inside there are sports facilities consisting of multi-sport GOR building with an area of about 1,200 m2 for badminton, basketball, volleyball, and indoor futsal. While outside, there is a soccer field using international standard synthetic grass, ITF Classified Court Pace 3 standard indoor tennis field, outdoor fitness, and jogging track.
According to Anies, Sports Center and Youth Center are managed by DKI Jakarta Youth and Sports Agency (Dispora). He explained, all these facilities are open to public and free. However, people is required to apply for permission first. Anies also reminded people to take part in maintaining and utilizing all sports centers properly and optimally.
