We often see behavior that does not clear the table after eating at a restaurant. This may seem trivial in Indonesia. However, overseas, including in Japan, some places to eat do apply the self-service concept. This method requires customers to serve themselves, from ordering and picking up food to cleaning up leftovers and cutlery. Restaurant service concepts are divided into full-service and self-service. Full-service restaurants serve customers during the reservation process and welcome customers in front of the restaurant. The waitress will prepare and lead them to their prepared table. When the customer wants to order, they just have to call the waitress. The presentation process also serving by the restaurant, in this case, the waitress will bring your food and drink to your table. It is totally different from the self-service concept.

In Indonesia, the food court has usually applied this concept. The customers will order food and drinks at a special counter. After that, customers have to find an empty table by themselves.

But, in Indonesia, the waitress still cleans the table when customers had finished their food. Even some customers just let the rest of the food on the table. In the different case with a self-service restaurant abroad, no one will take care of the table after the customer left. This is what generally had forgotten by Indonesian tourists when they eat at a self-service restaurant abroad.
