“The oldest, most celebrated jazz festival in Indonesia,” that’s the tagline of Jazz Goes to Campus (JGTC) every year. This jazz festival is indeed the oldest one in Indonesia. JGTC has been started since 38 years ago, held in the area of the Faculty of Economic and Business Universitas Indonesia, Depok.
The purpose is to bring jazz music performance that can be enjoyed by college students. Because at the beginning of JGTC, jazz music is often enjoyed at hotels and in a luxurious occasion only. So, Candra Darusman, the initiator of JGTC, wants to hold a jazz music performance that can be enjoyed by college students.
This year is the 38th JGTC. This event is successfully held every year, inviting the well-known local and international jazz artists. This year, JGTC will be held on November 29, 2015 at the yard of Faculty of Economic and Business Universitas Indonesia. This event will be started from 2 pm. For you who want to come, the price is affordable with Rp65.000,- for the presale price. With that price, you can already enjoy local and international jazz musicians.
