Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta will hold a number of events to welcoming the New Year 2020. The implementation of this event is in accordance with Regional Secretary Instruction No. 122 of 2019 regarding the Implementation of New Year's Eve 2020 event Series.
The whole event series for new year’s eve will be held on Tuesday (12/31/2019), starting at 17.00 to 00.00 WIB, at some points on Jalan Jend. Sudirman (Dukuh Atas) - Thamrin, Central Jakarta. Later on, there will be entertainment stages spread across five locations, Hotel Indonesia Roundabout area, Southwest Door of Monas, Jalan Wahid Hasyim (in front of Gedung Jaya), Dukuh Atas Cultural Spot, and Jakarta City Hall courtyard.
For entertainment stage at Hotel Indonesia Roundabout, Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta is cooperating with one of national private television station. This area will be the center of the New Year's Eve 2020 which will present a number of Indonesian artists and musicians such as Rhoma Irama & Soneta Group, Wali, Erie Suzan, Joy Tobing, and many more.

There will also be performances of Musik Tepi Barat and Musik Tepi Timur which will be held at Kendal Tunnel, UOB Tower Bus Stop, sidewalk around Indonesian Bawaslu building, sidewalk in front of Pertamina Lubricant, and sidewalk in front of Wisma Mandiri Syariah. All of them will take place from 16.00 to 22.00 WIB.
In addition to holding entertainment stages, Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta also held a Mass Marriage and Itsbat Marriage with a Marriage Lecture / Advice that will be delivered by Ustaz Adi Hidayat. This Mass Marriage event will take place starting at 17.00 WIB at the courtyard of Jakarta City Hall.
In connection with the holding of New Year celebration on Jalan Jend. Sudirman - Thamrin, DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation will conduct road closures periodically in preparation for the event, rehearsal, until the event takes place. For December 31, 2019, Jalan Jend. Sudirman - Thamrin will be closed starting at 14:00 WIB. Then, starting at 17.00 - 01.00 (1/1/2020) WIB, from Senayan Roundabout to Harmoni Intersection will be closed as a whole, this also applies to Jalan Budi Kemuliaan Intersection, Jalan Kebon Sirih Intersection, and Jalan Wahid Hasyim Intersection.
