The annual Muslim fashion festival, the one and only Muslim Fashion Festival also known as MUFFEST was officially open their house for public on Thursday (2/20) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), South Jakarta. MUFFEST 2020 will be held for four days in starts from February 20 to 23.

Teten Masduki as Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (KUKM), in his speech at opening ceremony of MUFFEST 2020 gave his appreciation for this fifth Muslim Fashion Festival. He also said try to make Indonesia as center of Muslim fashion worldwide in the near future through the annual event of MUFFEST.
Along with that, Mr. Masduki told the potential of Muslim fashion in Indonesia which considered as promising export sector. “Muslim fashion products in Indonesia are diverse and have great potential to become main export products.”
In line with Mr. Masduki, the chairmain of Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC), Ali Charisma said MUFFEST aimed to help Muslim fashion in Indonesia grow bigger and bigger. Mr. Charisma hoped MUFFEST can do some collaborations with popular international brands as well as making Indonesia as center of Muslim fashion worldwide.
Furthermore, Mr. Charisma explained MUFFEST carrying new concept of sustainable fashion which highlighted role of fashion (industry) to protect the environment. “We are trying to do a lot of support and campaign for sustainable fashion through MUFFEST.”

MUFFEST 2020 is a perfect place as designers, both new yet young and famous ones which has great track records in Muslim fashion industry. Andika Irawan as the representative of Dyandra Promosindo said there are more than 100 designers participated in MUFFEST 2020.
“There will be 17 fashion shows with more than 100 designers join with MUFFEST for four days,” Andika said during MUFFEST 2020 Press Conference. For example Ria Miranda, Monika Jufry, Barli Asmara, ETU, Deden Siswanto, Rani Hatta, Wignyo Rahadi, Lisa Fitria, Hannie Hananto, Itang Yunasz and Ivan Gunawan will enliven the runway during MUFFET 2020.
MUFFEST 2020 also supported by other small and medium businesses through various fashion derived products. For this reason, MUFFEST 2020 try to contribute growth of national economy by encouraging great potential of small and large Muslim fashion industries.
There are fashion shows, talk shows, and seminars in the area of retail exhibitions (B2C). Popular fashion influencer from New York, United States, Summer Albarcha will present talk show on Saturday.

In the opening ceremony of MUFFEST 2020, number of young designers under the auspices of IFC and MYDC (Modest Young Designer Competition) showed their works up on the catwalk.
