Kriya Kini 2018 Represents Indonesia Maritime Through Kriya Arts

Kriya Kini 2018 perceive sense of Indonesia maritime in form of kriya.

Arts Study Program Kriya and Forum Kriya Kontemporer Indonesia (FKKI) holding an exhibition, Kriya Kini 2018. The theme of the exhibition, “Sari Laut” was reverence to perceive sense of Indonesia maritime in form of kriya (all craft made by wood, metal, skin, glass, ceramic and textile). This exhibition starts on October 2nd to 7th, at Ganara Art Space, Kemang, South Jakarta. The opening of the exhibition also attended by Slamet Rahardjo Djarot, senior actor and kriya enthusiast.

Kriya Kini 2018 showing students, lecturers and Arts Study Program Kriya alumnus. One of any mesmerizing work is Zombie by Damar Bagus Permadi. It is concerned with fish in Indonesia are eating plastic. Other work, collaboration of Nebella Ayu and Andi Nurul, students of Jakarta Arts Institute named “Kehidupan” (Life). Above an art paper, some parts are knitted and the rest are remain dangling outside the frame. That brilliant idea should be appreciated.

Along with the exhibition, Kriya Kini 2018 also hold talk show and workshop. Workshop will be held on Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October, 7th and cost for Rp300.000 including material, certificate and snack (limited participants).
