Before Instagram comic phenomenon liked by so many netizen, Komikin Ajah community has been existed first. When there are so many comics account on Instagram, Komikin Ajah being the first Instagram account who reposting and summarizing best comics which made by local Instagram comic artists.
Everyday, Komikin Ajah will sharing comics from Indonesian comic artists. Once they upload, then the comic will get so many likes and comments. Comic that relate to urban lifestyle always be citizens favorite.
The first time @komikin_ajah uploading comic was on March, 2014. Early on their establishment, there was 3 admin who reposting comics by Indonesian comic artists to the timeline, then there is only 2 admin until now.
One of the members explaining that Komikin Ajah also has a group to collecting all comic artists from any city Indonesia. From that group, they could know each other and sharing any information about comic.

Everyday, there are about 15 - 20 comics which uploaded by @komikin_ajah. This way useful to promoting Indonesian comic artists and their Instagram comics. Made them get so many appreciation from netizen.
Komikin Ajah now has been followed by 2,1 million followers. All the comic artists are come from around the country. There are 18 participated cities, Medan, Padang, Riau, Jambi, Palembang, Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Malang, Ponorogo, Bali, and Makassar.
It is kind of easy thing for Komikin Ajah to curating those comics. The admin will find mencari uploaded comic, with mentioning and tagging Komikin Ajah’s Instagram. They will only reposting comics which not offensive about SARA, pornography, and not mocking certain people. Then, they will judge the comics by its picture quality. Because comic with good picture is not always has good content.
“Komik Instagram” phenomenon considered to be a unique trend. Because we can enjoy and read the comic straight on our phone.
