Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan at the end of April has been inaugurated Dukuh Atas Transit Oriented Development or Dukuh Atas Integrated Area which connects five public transportations in Jakarta, including Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, Commuter Line, Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Airport Train. In the same location, Anies also inaugurated a ready-to-drink water facility there. According to the first man in Jakarta, these two inaugurations will greatly help Jakartans.
Through the development of Transit Oriented Development, area around the Dukuh Atas BNI MRT Station, will be a liaison for mobilization and community settlement. Later, this area will also have new transportation modes, Jakarta LRT and Jabodetabek LRT.
Anies also emphasized that Transit Oriented Development must show the same vision for stakeholders in it, showing integrated, comfort and facilitate people to access public transportation. For this reason, the Jakarta administration is trying to provide convenient facilities for pedestrians, encouraging free / low emission mass public transportations, and integration between transportation modes that make it easier for people to move from one location to another.
