JFW Model Search is one of the most awaited from the series of events to Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) every year. The event to search for model aims to audition the models that will run on the JFW stage. Auditions were also held in five major cities in Indonesia, including Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Medan, Bandung, and Jakarta.
Jakarta became the location of the audition with the greatest interest. Even though the city is currently one of the epicenter of the spread of the Coronavirus, it does not lessen the enthusiasm of the participants and Jakarta Fashion Week to continue to look for quality young talents.
By utilizing technology, Preliminary Stage was held semi-virtually to screen more than 600 Jakarta audition participants who have registered through Jakarta Fashion Week app. Selected participants get a guide and special link to send their video samples to Jakarta Fashion Week e-mail address.
The jury will choose a number of participants who are considered potential to do live audition at Fashionlink x BLCKVNUE, Senayan City on 1 to 5 July 2020. The audition will be held with scheduling and strict medical procedures. Each participant will get different arrival and instruction from the previous years, no more on the spot registration. Registration of the model itself was closed on June 27, 2020.
Jakarta Fashion Week also continues to establish correspondence with the organizers of the Asia Model Festival in Seoul to ensure the schedule and security of participants of the Face of Asia later. In addition, procedures for further selection of JFW 2021 Icons will also be finalized soon.
