Last September Instagram launched a special guide for parents in Indonesia. The guide contains information that aims to share information for parents in Indonesia about using Instagram among their teenagers. In the launch of the Parents Guide using bahasa, Instagram collaborated with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (KPPPA) and @parentalk.id.
Through this guide, parents can take advantage of features that can help them keep an eye on their children while using Instagram. Some of the security features available in this guide include:
1. Manage Privacy
Like Account Privacy, this feature determines who can and can't see posts and interact with their accounts on Instagram. Block, control features to block inappropriate accounts or when users no longer want to interact with certain accounts.
2. Managing Interactions
Like Comment Control feature that can determine who can comment on their posts on Instagram. Filter Comments, this feature can filter out words that can or cannot be displayed in their uploaded comment column on Instagram.
3. Manage Time
Like "Your Activity" Dashboard that contains the time they spent on Instagram. Set Daily Reminder, a feature that can set time limit for using Instagram, with this feature they will get notification when they reach time limit they set.
