Indonesian Fashion Week 2018 Officially Held

IFW 2018 has officially opened bringing Cultural Identitiy theme.

The most prestigious fashion event in Indonesia officially held. Wednesday, 28 March 2018, Indonesian Fashion Week 2018 was inaugurated by APPMI and Indonesian Fashion Week President, Poppy Dharsono. She said, “Indonesia eventually offering a beautiful power in culture can be used as a main pallet. This culture, heritage can be used as National identity, to show our pride.”

It will be held until April, 1st 2018 at JCC, Central Jakarta. It bringing up three different cultures from three different areas in Indonesia that became a highlight, Toba Lake, Batak, Borobudur in Central Java and Labuan Bajo in East Nusa Tenggara. Visitors can feel the different ambiences for each day.

On the first day, IFW 2018 bringing Batak culture. For the second day, it will be Central Java, Borobudur to be exact. And the third day, there will be Labuan Bajo culture enliven the fashion show. These three areas are chosen because each ancient history embodied their culture and tradition believed became a huge trigger to preserve Indonesian culture heritage.

Opening ceremony of Indonesian Fashion Week 2018 also attended by representatives of some Ministries, National banks, ambassadors, and other sponsorships which is supporting this annual event.

IFW officially held with fashion parade created by Indonesian best designers, such as Ivan Gunawan, Harry Ibrahim, and International designers, such as May Myat Waso from Myanmar also Ayşe Deniz Yeğin from Turkey.

Indonesian Fashion Week 2018 collaborated with 200 designers from Indonesia and International, 460 exhibition participants for fashion and textile, also culinary from around Indonesia.
