With interiors inspired by the history of the spices trade between China and the old colonial capital, Batavia, Li Feng which literally translates as "Beauty in Abundance" is located on the second floor of Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, replacing one of the best Chinese restaurants in Jakarta, Xin Hwa.

Like most Chinese restaurants, Li Feng offers three private rooms with different capacities (8, 10, and 14 people). All three of these private spaces have rolling doors that can be fully closed, providing maximum privacy for guests with the elegant decoration.

This fine dining restaurant in Jakarta offers authentic and traditional Cantonese dishes. Li Feng also serves an extensive dim sum menu ranging from steamed, roasted, deep-fried, and pan-fried. Interestingly, even though it is a fancy restaurant, the dim sum prices here are pretty reasonable, ranging from Rp. 28 thousand to Rp. 128 thousand.

The signature dim sum at Li Feng that you should try is Deep-Fried Swan Dumpling with Black Pepper Duck Meat (Rp. 98 thousand). This menu serves beautiful swan-shaped dumplings with black pepper duck filling. The filling is delicious, savory, and flavorful, while the dumpling skin tastes crispy.

If you want something more filling, you can order Braised Hele Crab with Japanese Rice in Hoisin Sauce (Rp. 238 thousand). This menu will spoil your tongue with the savory taste of a portion of rice covered in hoisin sauce and the sweet taste of crab with a sticky texture typical of Japanese rice.

For dessert, Three Dessert Platter (Rp. 98 thousand) is the right choice consisting of sticky rice fried with jelly frogs and coconut milk, blueberry snow skin dumplings, and cold mangoes with pomelo sago cream. The most delicious of those three desserts is the blueberry snow skin dumplings with skin-like mochi that is smooth like silk and soft but springy.

Overall, Li Feng has everything as the best Cantonese restaurant in Jakarta, such as elegant decoration, delicious dim sum, great Cantonese cuisine, and even reasonable prices. The good news, this luxury restaurant offers Oriental Feast which serves all-you-can-eat dim sum and other Li Feng specialties. Available for lunch every Saturday and Sunday.
