On past August 12, former Jakarta Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat inaugurate dancing fountain at Monas, Central Jakarta. The dancing fountain can be seen every Saturday and Sunday night on 19.30 WIB and 20.30 WIB. In one day, there will be 2 played shows. Each session go for 20-30 minutes. First show on 19.30, and 20.30 for the second show.
This fountain at Monas is more than just a fountain, because this 3 meters fountain comes with "dances" and decorated by colorful lamps, blue, pink, yellow, and green. With screenwater technology fired using a laser, the dancing fountain also shows rainbow video and a song lyric accompany its movement. The song itself controlled by operator. Every movement adjusted with the song. The song that they used are National anthem and Indonesian folk songs re-arranged by best musician, Addie MS with PT Garuda Indonesia as the owner of the copyright.
