Who say visit museum is kind of boring? It is not always like that. Maybe, because you haven't try to visit National Gallery, yet. Nowadays, the place which often called as GalNas is one of Instagramers favorite location. Sometimes, there are visitors who deliberately dress up just want to get good OOTD (Outfit of The Day) photos.
National Gallery present arts exhibition. There are two types of exhibition, permanent and temporary exhibition. For permanent exhibition, the arts will be continuously displayed at Galeri Nasional. While temporary exhibition, the arts will alternately displayed.
Although the building look so old from the outside, but that is the privileges of National Gallery. The building consist of three buildings, A, B , and C Building. Those are functioned for exhibiting modern and contemporary art works. Each building contain antique and authentic artworks exhibition. Here you can see various kind of artwork, such as painting, statue, graphic, photography, to various styles of new artistic media.
Until now, at least there are 1,700 collections of Indonesian artwork displayed at National Gallery. The names of Indonesian artist, such Raden Saleh, Basoeki Abdullah, Affandi S., Hendra Gunawan, and Sudjojono. are just few name from many artists whose ever displayed their work at GalNas. There are also work from foreign artists who have joined tune up the gallery.
National Gallery is a place to enjoy the beauty of artworks, and preserve it. This place open to public. Though it is free to visiting the gallery, but, there are several rules that you must obey. You don’t allowed use flash and monopod or tripod for taking photos, and be a quiet visitor!
