If you are a female passenger who often uses Transjakarta as your transportation mode, now female-only Transjakarta buses are available.
Before this, Transjakarta only provides female-only corridor inside the bus, but right now a whole bus unit just for female passengers has been launched to add more convenience in transportation. This bus was launched at the same time with Kartini Day, on April 21, 2016.
You can see the difference from the outer look that uses a feminine color which is pink. The driver and the driver assistant are also female. The seats are facing the front side, unlike the usual Transjakarta that facing the aisle inside the bus.
This female-only bus can hold up to 38 seated passengers and 80 standing passengers. Right now there are still available in limited units, but later when the units are all launched there will be total of 10 units that operated in corridor 1 with the route from Blok M to Kota.
But don’t worry, this year the female-only bus will be on the other corridor too. With the presence of this bus, Jakarta’s transportation will be more comfortable!
