For Jakartans who live in around West Jakarta, especially in Cengkareng area, this weekend head out to a shady and cozy park at Jalan Pedongkelan. This area was previously a slum area which now has changed into a beautiful park and can be enjoyed by Jakartans as a family interactive park.
Taman Pedongkelan built in 2014. The park may not too spacious, but almost every day many people visit this park. Usually people comes after 3 p.m. Both for just relaxed or use the facilities. Free facilities can be enjoyed at the park which is located next to Banjir Kanal Barat river. Such as suffice seats, outdoor gym, kids playground, etc.

If you want to visit Taman Pedongkelan, you can take TransJakarta Harmoni – Kalideres route, drop at Jembatan Gantung bus stop. Go to north side, then cross the river. The distance from Jembatan Gantung to Taman Pedongkelan is only about 150 meters.
The best time visit Taman Pedongkelan is in the morning, when the air still fresh and the sun not too strong, perfect time for workout or jogging at the park.
