The Right Takjil For Iftar

The right Takjil for breaking the fast with juice or fruit juice, and dates with dry skin.

Fasting causes sugar levels in the body to decrease and the potential to experience mild dehydration, so that the body becomes weak. That is why it is recommended to eat sweet foods or drinks when breaking the fast so that sugar levels rise again and the body returns to power.

However, you can't just eat sweet ones, but you also have to be healthy. For that, you are advised to choose juice or fruit juice as Takjil. In addition, you can also choose dates if you don't want to drink fruit juice. Choose dates that are still fresh with a hard skin. Dates with hard skin have high fiber content, so they are good for health.

After breaking your fast with sweet and healthy food, you can do the Maghrib prayer first before continuing to eat heavier foods. The menu for breaking the fast must be as complete as the menu at suhoor, which contains complex carbohydrates, fiber, protein, and fat.

You can continue the Tarawih prayer. But as soon as you return home, you are advised to eat again to stock up for the next day. Hope it is useful!
