President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) ensured that there is still no anti-virus that could cure Covid-19. However, he said the government had ordered millions of drugs that could help cure.
Jokowi revealed, currently the government has ordered a number of drugs such as avigan and chloroquine which are proven to help cure. According to him, the drugs has been ordered in large quantities.
"These drugs has been tried by 1,2,3 countries and provides a cure that is Avigan, we have brought 5,000 and in the process of ordering 2 million. Second, Chloroquine, we have prepared 3 million. This speed that we want to convey we are not silent but looking for things, what information we can do to resolve Covid-19," Jokowi said in a press statement via video streaming at the Merdeka Palace, in Jakarta, Friday (20/03).
In addition, Jokowi also spoke about government efforts that have begun to conduct rapid tests in a number of areas known to have positive patient contact. According to the number one person in Indonesia, rapid tests will be carried out from house to house.
Jokowi also mentioned, the government is doing a rapid test in one area in Jakarta. "In South Jakarta, I think that's what I can convey," he added.
