If you are tired of holidays in Jakarta, there is Anyer that can be used as an alternative to eliminate your fatigue. An area in Serang, Banten is indeed famous for storing a myriad of beautiful beaches. One of them that is good to visit while on holiday is Pasir Putih Sirih Beach.
You can visit this beach using private vehicle, with the duration around 2 to 3 hours. Don’t worry! Because now the road condition to the beaches in Anyer are good and smooth. It won’t make you grumble on the trip.
But if you have backpacker spirit, you can use commuter line to Rangkasbitung Station. From Rangkasbitung Station, you can continue your trip using local train Rangkasbitung - Merak, then get off at Krenceng Station. Ticket price around Rp. 3,000 only.
From Krenceng Station, the trip can be continued by using the silver-colored city transportation (angkot) to Anyer, the fare is approximately Rp 10,000 per person. But if your body feels tired and wants to get there quickly, you can choose an online taxi for around Rp. 100,000.
Upon arrival at Pasir Putih Sirih Beach, you’ll be greeted by a row of stalls selling various snacks and souvenirs. The price of admission to the beach is around Rp. 20,000 per person, and includes parking. If you come with a group using a bus or car, the fare will be cheaper. After passing through the parking lot, then a stretch of white sand with a vast ocean in front of welcome you.
White sand on this beach is very soft, so it’ll be more comfortable stepping on it if you don’t use footwear. But, if the weather is hot, we recommend you to wear sandals, because the sand feels hot when stepped on it.

When Alinear Indonesia visited this beach, several officers were seen watching the visitors, especially those who were swimming. Every now and then we heard the officer’s whistle blew. They even enter the beach to warn visitors who swim too far.
No wonder the officers here are quite strict, because the waves on this beach are unpredictable. Sometimes small, but at times can be big. Seen a distance of a few meters from the shoreline mounted barrier that marks the boundaries of visitors when swimming in the sea.
In addition to swimming, Pasir Putih Sirih Beach also offers other entertainment such as banana boas and sailing the sea using fishing boat. The fare ranges from Rp. 25,000 to Rp. 50,000 per person. The sunset skyline on the beach near Jakarta is very impressive. The Mount Anak Krakatau, Sabesi Island and Sebuku Island in the distance can be seen forming a silhouette.
Pasir Putih Sirih Beach also provides homestay for visitors who want to stay and witness the beauty of the sunrise on this beach. If you want more savings, you can camp on the beach at a cost of around Rp. 150,000.
Even though the security is fairly good and the facilities are complete, we are very sorry that the bathroom and toilet conditions on this beach are dirty and smelly. Even some bathrooms don’t have dipper.
However, if you are bored with Jakarta’s atmosphere and don’t want to go far from the city, Pasir Putih Sirih Beach can be the right choice, especially for those who miss vitamin sea. Remember! Always be careful when playing at this beach and don't forget to use sunscreen so the skin doesn't burn! Happy holiday!
