To increasing and protecting the customers rights on telecommunication service, The Ministry of Communication and Informatics will impose Indonesian citizens to do re-registration their number which will be validate with their Citizen ID Number starts 31 October 2017.
The determination is regulated in The Ministry of Communication and Informatics Regulation No.12 year 2016 about Customers Registration on Telecommunication Service.
This re-registration is a government effort to avoid customer number from abusement, especially for prepaid customer as a comitment to protect costomers and national single identity interest.
There is a statement letter which emphasized that all datas which has been delivered are true, so the prepaid candidate and old customer are responsibility of all law result which generated in regulary term until the validation is succeeded.
Next step, the telecommunication service convener will activate the costomers number in 1x24 hours. The telecommunication service convener have the mandatory to finished the re-registration process from prepaid costomers whose data have not been validate for the latest on 28 February 2018.
The telecommunication service convener have the obligation to give a report about the re-registration progress from prepaid customers every 3 months to Indonesian Telecommunication Regulation Agency as long as the re-registration time term begin.
The extention time for registration excecution adjustment has considering the preparation and system reliability to validate the customer data and protection to the costomer interest of communication service.
The registration process itself has been succeed disclosure if the data has been inputed by the candidate costomer and old prepaid costomer are validated. But, if the data has been inputed by the candidate costomer and old prepaid costomer are not validated eventhough they already input their data according with ID and Family Card, the costomer has an obligation to write a Statement Letter.
