The travel business (travel), especially those engaged in tourism, is quite promising at this time. The denser a person's activities, the higher the desire to be able to do refreshments (refreshing). In a way, traveling has now become part of the lifestyle.
Maybe many of you don't think that the travel business is a business that can be started even with minimal business capital. And to start, it only requires persistence and good persuasion skills, and is good at seeing opportunities. Moreover, we live in a country which is a paradise for tourist destinations, the travel business will certainly be very promising. Here are some easy steps you can take to start a travel business:
1. Choose the type of travel business you want to be in
Before starting your business in the world of travel, you must first determine what type of travel you want to be involved in. Does it specifically sell tickets, such as plane or train tickets, specifically provide travel packages or open trips, specifically hotel bookings, or something else?
When you have chosen the type of business you want, then later you will be more focused and it will be easier for you to learn the things you need and live them.
2. Map the Targeted Tourism Locations
If you choose to do business in the field of travel agent services, try mapping the tourist destinations that you will offer. Each region must have a tourist destination, which can be in the form of nature tourism, man-made tourism, historical tourism, to culinary tourism.
Try to do a mapping with the tourism potential located in the city you will choose. Try to keep the distance between tourist attractions no more than 200 km. Because this will greatly affect the costs and packages that you will make later. For example, if you are targeting Yogyakarta as your travel business destination, you can map which areas you want to offer to potential customers, for example, if you offer a tour package exploring the Gunung Kidul area which consists of several activities.
In addition, you also have to store complete information about each tourist spot. This information can be in the form of telephone numbers for tourist attraction managers, ticket prices, correspondence, and costs that will be incurred in every tour that you make.

3. Name Your Business (Branding)
Next, make a name or brand for your travel. Try to come up with a business name that is easy to remember, unobtrusive, and easy to pronounce.
This is important so that your travel brand is easily recognized and memorized. Don't come up with a name that's too hard to remember. Because the easier the name is to remember and pronounce for many people, the more it will help you in marketing the business.
4. Packages
After you have compiled what is needed to start this business, the next step is to create inexpensive tour packages to attract the attention of potential customers. However, providing many alternative tours for potential customers will make them more interested. Because they have many choices that can be taken.
The package can be in the form of a number of days, where the length or the number of days selected, the cheaper the price. The packages offered can also be in the form of several tourist destinations that can be taken at once and later customers will get a discount. You can also order the number of people for a lower price.

5. Expand Your Business Online
In this digital era, everything is easier to do, thus making business more effective and efficient. Therefore, developing your business into a digital or online platform will make it easier for potential customers and old customers to be interested in using and continuing to take advantage of the services you offer. The things that can be done in this online business are not only in terms of marketing but also being able to make orders and payments, as well as other things that can make it easier for consumers.
6. Make a Business License/Registration
If your travel agent business is slowly starting to grow and be successful, don't forget to register your business officially. Don't let the business you have started working hard, get in trouble with the laws in the country just because you don't register your business with the relevant agency.
