When spring arrives, Japan attracts tourists to visit because of the cherry blossoms in bloom. This season is also known as the traditional hanami or cherry blossom festival. If you haven't been there yet, don't worry. In Indonesia, there are also 6 places to see cherry blossoms. Check these out!
1. Kebun Raya Cibodas, Bogor
Cibodas Botanical Garden has seven types of cherry blossoms which are placed in Sakura Park, near Cibogo Waterfall. Sakura Park which has an area of 7,500 square meters blooms twice a year. Just choose, can come between January-February or July-August.

But please note that the cherry blossoms in the Cibodas Botanical Garden cannot fully bloom like in Japan. This is because the air and climate are not the same. But you can still enjoy the beauty of the colors while breathing the cool and clean air.
2. Waingapu, Sumba Timur

Who would have thought that the land of Sumba, which is known for its vast savanna fields, also has cherry blossoms? In fact, you can see it on the side of the road to the countryside in Waingapu. In a way, cherry blossoms are wild plants that grow here. If you want to see cherry blossoms on Sumba, just come to Waingapu around October to November.
3. Karangasem, Bali

Hundreds of cherry blossom seeds have been planted since 2012 in Karangasem, Bali with the Sakura Yoko variety. This type is a cherry blossom seed that can grow and survive in various temperatures. Apart from that, you can also see cherry blossoms that grow in the Eka Karya Botanical Garden which grow around April and September.
4. Batam, Kepulauan Riau

In Batam, you can enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms which grow as a 'sweetener' for industrial areas. The cherry blossoms in Batam are indeed located in the Batam Indo industrial area, to be precise in the courtyard of the Nurul Islam Mosque. The local people call this cherry blossom tree the name tabebuya. Uniquely, in this complex, the cherry blossoms bloom for a long time, namely for three months, from March to May.
5. Puspiptek, Tangerang

You can also see cherry blossoms in Tangerang, at the Science and Technology Research Center (Puspiptek) to be precise. Just like in the Cibodas Botanical Garden, the cherry blossoms here can bloom twice a year. You can immediately see the beautiful cherry blossoms next to the Puspiptek guest house. Because of its beauty, it's no wonder that many people specifically come to Puspiptek to take pictures in front of these cherry blossoms.
6. Karanganyar, Jawa Tengah

Around 60 cherry trees were planted on an area of 1.2 hectares in Gondosuli Cemoro Kandang Village, Karanganyar, precisely in Gunung Lawu Sakura Tourism Park. Cherry blossoms accompanied by the beautiful view of Mount Lawu, will definitely spoil your eyes and become an unforgettable tourist destination.
