This sushi spot is sort of a newcomer on the lines of favorite restaurants in Pantai Indah Kapuk. Sushi Sen, which opened since January 2016 is not hard to find because of the wooden ornament that decorated the front side of the building. You will feel a thick Japanese ambience in here because the interior is also all-wood with light brown color, packed in minimalist design. You will also find a Japanese wooden door frame which will remind you more of the Country of Sakura. The place is quite small, so you need to hurry when you come here to enjoy the sushi or you will be assigned to the waiting list because Sushi Sen doesn’t take reservation. First come, first serve!
The freshness of the sushi and sashimi here is a no doubt with various kinds of fish. Besides tuna and salmon which are common in other Japanese restaurants, Sushi Sen also serves amberjack, white trevally, sea bass, mackerel, and halibut. You can also read the characteristics of the fish on the menu book so you can choose the fish that suits your taste best.
For the choices of menu, you can start with Sushi Sen Salad, which is a mix salad with slices of salmon sashimi and tuna sashimi complete with special Sushi Sen dressing. For the main course, try their Salmon Carpaccio or Special Gyudon with Onsen Egg and Garlic Chips. If you want to order one menu which already has appetizer, main course, and dessert, you can order the lunch set menu. Saikoro Steak Lunch is one of them, consists of Chawanmushi (egg custard), beef steak, rice, miso soup, salad, and fresh fruit. The udon menu is also worth to try! Such a lot of choices, right?
