AXA Financial Indonesia is working with the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) to launch Wakaf Mudah Bersama AXA program. This collaboration aims to facilitate customers in doing good by providing protection for both their families and others.
This waqf is different from other waqf features. If waqf generally only apply when the insured dies, the benefits from Wakaf Mudah Bersama AXA are valid for the period of protection running and the insured is still alive. So customers also get the convenience to have comprehensive life insurance protection, while getting blessings and peace of mind.
This waqf feature from AXA can be used by Maestro Syariah and Cerdas Amanah Syariah customers, where customers can use a portion of their investment value to be used as waqf. Later, the waqf will be channelled through the MUI Waqf Institution. In addition, customers can also determine their own distribution of waqf benefits in three ways, religious waqf such as the construction of mosques and boarding schools, general productive waqf such as land and buildings (property), and Sapujagat waqf to help people free from usury transactions.
According to MUI, this collaboration is a good collaboration to bring forward waqf sector in Indonesia. Moreover, MUI needs support in protecting people. With this collaboration, MUI hopes waqf sector can be boosted.
