Blok M MRT Station become the first MRT station integrated with shopping centre, Plaza Blok M. This is part of the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) realization. TOD is not just property development but also supporting facilities. Among them, park and ride, shopping centres, to office buildings.
Blok M Station located right on the east side of Plaza Blok M. It is 15 meters from Jalan Panglima Polim Raya. The station consists of a two-story building. The top floor is a platform. Whereas the floor below is the entrance to the platform, the counter and the commercial area. It is on this floor that connects the station with the mall. The bridge is a concrete bridge with a width of about seven meters. In Blok M Plaza itself there is an entrance to the station on the 1st floor. Besides being able entering from inside the mall, Blok M Station is also accessible from the road. Escalators and elevators are available for disabled people.
By connecting the Blok M MRT Station to Blok M Plaza, MRT passengers are also very easy to visit Blok M Plaza. Likewise, Blok M Plaza visitors also have easy access to use Ratangga. The mall is now live again, after being quiet because of the MRT construction. Even the number of visitors has now doubled.
