DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan agreed to MRT Jakarta rates after discussing it directly with the Chairman of the Jakarta Regional People's Representative Council Prasetio Edi Marsudi. The rate set is Rp 10,000/10 km (trip average projection). This decision is different from the results of the Joint Leadership Meeting in DPRD office on Monday, 25 March which approved Lebak Bulus - Bundaran HI MRT rate is Rp 8,500. While minimum rate is Rp. 3,000.
The rate Rp 10,000 / 10 km itself is divided into two components, the boarding fee Rp 1,500 plus the price per kilometer multiplied by distance. The rate per km is Rp 850. With that rate, the subsidy amount that the Jakarta administration will issued until the end of 2019 reaches Rp 672 billion.
The subsidy amount comes from MRT passengers projection of 65,000 people/day with a nominal subsidy per passenger Rp. 21,659. Thus, if there are more passengers, the subsidy can be reduced.
