1. Terowongan Kendal
Before becoming one of Instagramable places in Jakarta, this area is famous for its traffic chaos. Until finally in March, this tunnel was changed by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to become a pedestrian lane and is a Transit-oriented Development (ToD), which ease people to switch transportation modes such as, MRT, LRT, Commuter Line, Airport Train and Transjakarta.

Terowongan Kendal is also artistically designed, making it look very attractive. Many people who pass in this tunnel took time to take pictures. Yes, since last July, Terowongan Kendal is enhanced by the presence of Mural Persahabatan, which is a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the relationship between Jakarta and Berlin as Sister City. The murals were made by Darbotz from Jakarta and Snyder from Berlin.

Not only murals, at night, Terowongan Kendal is more beautiful with colorful lights. The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government often holds events in this tunnel, such as Jakarta Berlin Festival which was held last November.

If you still don't know where Terowongan Kendal is, this tunnel is on Jalan Kendal in Central Jakarta. Right under Jalan Jend. Sudirman, and is near from Sudirman Station, BNI City Station, and Dukuh Atas MRT Station.

2. Spot Budaya 2 Dukuh Atas

This Instagramable place in Jakarta was just inaugurated last August. Spot Budaya 2 Dukuh Atas itself consists of five parts, Mini Tropical Forest as a greening space; Cultural Art Spot to hold art and cultural activities, Skate Park for young people who want to play skateboard or BMX bike, Educational Spot, and Anjungan Pandang.

At Anjungan Pandang visitors can take pictures with Dukuh Atas area which contains tall buildings and Jalan Jend. Sudirman as great background. At night, Spot Budaya 2 Dukuh Atas is also enhanced by brownish yellow lights that illuminate the stairs at Anjungan Pandang.

This interesting spot is on Jalan Jend. Sudirman, very close to Transjakarta Dukuh Atas 1 and Dukuh Atas 2 Bus Stop.

3. JPO Tanpa Atap

As the name implies, this Instagramable place in Jakarta is a Pedestrian Crossing Bridge (JPO). Named JPO Tanpa Atap, because the roof of the JPO on Jalan Jend. Sudirman was deliberately demolished, so pedestrians who pass here are not just crossing, but also can enjoy great view of Sudirman area full of tall buildings without being hindered.

Now, JPO Tanpa Atap has become a new spot for take pictures or selfies in Jakarta. For those who want take pictures here, remember to prioritize pedestrians who want to pass first, don't get in the way!

4. Kopi SSS
Kopi SSS is in a very strategic location, precisely in front of Bendungan Hilir MRT Station, and very close to Bendungan Hilir Transjakarta bus stop. From a distance, the Sampoerna's coffee shop building is already attracting our attention. As seen in the picture, the outside of the building is dominated by wooden material with wide and tall glass windows, in contrast to tall buildings around it.

At the top of the building, there are wooden sticks that are neatly lined up like sticking to wooden walls, arguably this is the hallmark of Kopi SSS. In the middle, there’s a Sampoerna Kayoe logo. Its unique and Instagenic design is certainly make people who pass by interested to take pictures in front of it.

Another uniqueness of this coffee shop near MRT station is that it is integrated with the sidewalk. Pedestrians can easily enter Kopi SSS. Even though it’s on Sampoerna Strategic Square land, visitors from outside don’t need to pass through gates, because this coffee shop is made alongside the sidewalk, but doesn’t take the sidewalk at all.
